Ladakh, in northern India, is one of the highest and most remote regions on earth - a starkly beautiful landscape of towering peaks, high-altitude deserts and endless Himalayan horizons. Often described as ‘Little Tibet’, thanks to its strong Tibetan Buddhist culture, dramatic high-altitude desert landscapes, and centuries-old monasteries perched among vast, silent mountains - the atmosphere feels both remote and profoundly spiritual, unlike anywhere else on earth.

Our 18 night motorcycle journey takes you from the lush foothills of the Himalayas into the heart of the Indian Himalayas, finishing in Leh - a vibrant mountain city perched on the “roof of the world”.

Along the way, we ride some of the world’s most spectacular high-altitude roads, including legendary passes such as Lachang La and Tanglang La. Long, empty valleys, rugged mountain terrain and ever-changing conditions make this a truly immersive and rewarding adventure for riders.

We also explore parts of the remote Spitti & Zanskar Valleys with their raw beauty and strong Tibetan Buddhist culture. Here, ancient monasteries cling to cliff faces, prayer flags mark high passes, and traditional village life continues much as it has for centuries.

This is a genuine rider’s expedition - remote and unforgettable. A reasonable level of riding skill and fitness is required, but the reward is an extraordinary journey through one of the world’s great motorcycle landscapes.

  • This trip takes you to high altitude and on a variety of road types from sealed to gravel as well as through some water crossings.

    A reasonable level of riding skill and fitness is required, but the reward is an extraordinary journey through one of the world’s great motorcycle landscapes.

    • Accommodation from the first to the last night in carefully selected family-run guesthouses and hotels (as well as a night under canvas!).

    • Breakfast daily, most dinners (excluding 2-3).

    • Airport transfers when you arrive/depart on the days suggested in the itinerary.

    • Your own Royal Enfield motorcycle for the duration of the journey.

    • The services of our expert tour guide.

    • A dedicated mechanic carrying all essential tools and spare parts.
