In our South India tour we travel on some of the most beautiful back roads and high ways in southern India. Commencing on the tropical east coast in Mamallapuram village with its spectacular rock carved shore temples we cross the entire continent and return. Travelling along the coast of the Bay of Bengal we visit the beautiful French colonial city of Pondicherry, a Danish fort and a Christian pilgimage village. We then ride through the rice paddys and temple cities of Tamil Nadu and wind up to the cool western mountains and the exotic jungles of Kerala with its spice and tea plantations. From here, we descend to the steamy multi-ethnic coastal state of Kerala where our tour includes an overnight stay on a traditional houseboat in the back waters. The mountain route upon which we travel on our return from Kerala is considered to be one of the finest scenic biking routes of the world. This tour is conducted by Kamal and accompanied by our mechanic and back up vehicle driver.
